Task 1 - Subject-Verb Agreement
1a) is - "target group" is singular
1b) is - "average age" is singular
1c) show - "studies" is plural
1d) is - "the number" is singular (vs. "a number of" which is plural)
1e) receives - "each user" is always singular
Task 2 - Formal vs. Informal
1 = D ("bound by nation" = "limited by nationality")
2 = C ("things connected to brains" = "neural devices / brain-computer interfaces")
3 = A ("glasses model" = "wearable device / smart glasses")
4 = E ("makes studying easier" = "enhances the learning experience")
5 = B ("of the sorts" = remove, it is informal filler)
Task 3 - Fix the Errors (sample answers)
3a) "The team of developers is working on a new feature for the app." (The subject is "team," which is singular.)
3b) "The analysis of the data shows clear trends in user behaviour." (The plural of "analysis" is "analyses," and the subject here is singular.)
3c) Example: "Our product is a wearable fitness tracker designed for the wrist that monitors physical activity." (Use IT product category terms.)
3d) Example: "The application is not limited by nationality and is accessible to a global user base." (Formal vocabulary, no filler.)
